Hello, world. My bio-like object can be found at
Wiki:ElizabethWiethoff. I also have a small wiki presence at
[the Adjunct].
I became an avid reader, primarily of ScienceFiction, in 1980 thanks to a friend. My reading interests have shifted every few years, sometimes radically. In 2004 I became intensely interested in computer programming, and got hooked on programming books as well as Ward's Wiki. But I lost interest in programming quite suddenly in July 2006. In fact, I lost interest in all reading until sometime in the autumn of 2006, when my interest in SF began to return. Since the end of 2006, I borrowed a lot of books from the "New" shelves at my local library. Hence, the rather random nature of my reading lately.

- GiovannadArco? vocal score by Verdi (Our performance in Central Park was cancelled due to weather.)
- ManifoldOrigin?, StephenBaxter [ISBN 0345430808 (amazon.com, search)] (a little too much hominid focus)

- ManifoldSpace?, StephenBaxter [ISBN 0345430786 (amazon.com, search)] (mind is blown)

Hi Elizabeth,
(Is there a better place on this wiki to post this question? If so, please move it there.)
Has Bookshelved been mentioned in any newspaper or other source that meets Wikipedia's "reliable sources" rule?
I think lack of such a source is the main holdup in getting a "Bookshelved" article on Wikipedia.
Should a "Bookshelved" article at Wikipedia be tagged with the "Wikipedia:Category:Social_cataloging_applications" category?
-- DavidCary
Hi, David. I have never thought about any of this. I'm not aware that Bookshelved has been mentioned in a "reliable source." (But I recollect some UseMod people are mentioned in TheWikipediaRevolution?.) And I'm not a Wikipedia categories geek. Sorry I can't be more helpful. -- Eliz
Hey Elisabeth!
I just saw the message you left on my page (didn't ever scroll down so far in my page, heh).
Thanks for the warm greetings! I hope I'll update my page more often and add my readings there :)

Hi Elizabeth,
I'm not sure if you're the person to be taking admin-stuff to (if you're not let me know of the right person or email id to write to).
I'm not able to make any changes to my main page on bookshelved. Even if I delete the entire content and hit 'Save' I get "External links disallowed"
which prevents me from Saving. I recently refactored content off the main page into sub pages e.g. GishuPillai/TechnicalBookshelf.
Feel free to delete this post once you've read it. Thanks -- GishuPillai
