Reading Project: Hugo and Nebula award winners.
I used to read a lot of science fiction, but not as much lately. A major exception to "not lately" is reading project of a few years ago, to read all of Asimov's robot, foundation, and empire novels.
I had an idea a few weeks ago to read all of the "best" science fiction by reading every novel that had won either the Hugo Award or the Nebula award. But it turns out there are 78 such novels, and I don't have the stamina to read them all.
So I've settled on a more modest project: Read every novel that has won both the Nebula and the Hugo. There are fifteen of those:
Done:
I've read five of these novels before, but I don't remember anything about them except for EndersGame, which has an unforgettable ending.
Killer Bs. That's funny. I need to remember that... What I meant by my question was, did you read Asimov then the Killer Bs then revisit Asimov? Or did you read the Bs without Asimov's Foundation books and wonder where the Bs were coming from? Me, I haven't read any Killer B Foundation books. But I tore through Asimov's entire Robots-Empire-Foundation series for the 3rd(?) time back in January or so. I didn't enjoy it as much this time around. :-| I'm interested to know whether this is your first, second, or severalth venture into Asimov's series. Whatever your note is on the Foundation page, I don't think you signed it. -- Eliz
